Responsible Gambling
Updated August 2026
Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money or solve financial problems. If it stops feeling that way, the resources on this page are free and confidential.
Set limits before you start
Decide on a deposit limit and a time limit before you play, and stick to them regardless of whether you are winning or losing. Most operators covered on this site let you set deposit, loss or session limits directly in your account settings.
Warning signs to watch for
Chasing losses, gambling with money set aside for bills, hiding how much you play from people close to you, or feeling unable to stop even when you want to are all signs it may be time to step back and seek support.
You must be 18 or older
Every operator on this site requires players to be at least 18, and some US states set a higher minimum age. Underage gambling is illegal and none of the operators covered here permit it.
Free, confidential help
The National Council on Problem Gambling offers free, confidential support at ncpgambling.org/help-treatment or by calling 1-800-522-4700. Help is available whether or not you are ready to stop gambling completely.
